Conectando Inmigrantes con Beneficios, Recursos y Educación
The Grove Foundation is a philanthropic organization that supports education, health, human services, and more. The foundation's philanthropy also involves helping immigrants and refugees, as the Groves (The Family who found it) fled Europe for the States decades ago.
was founded by the San Mateo County Bar Association and the San Mateo Superior Court to provide free legal services to low-income residents of San Mateo County who are particularly vulnerable due to age disability, language or family violence.
This two organizations realized that the immigrant community faces cultural and structural barriers that prevent them from accessing safety net benefits and services. Like language access, isolation from services, fear of repercussions of obtaining benefits, stigma about receiving public assistance or lack of reliable information. Thus they reach to Redwood City 2020 and Nuestra Casa to create a collaborative to increase immigrants’ access to critical safety net services and link immigrants with relevant community and local agencies through education, outreach, support services, and legal assistance. Through the years LIBRE has grown and added more partners to the project to reach and help the immigrant community.
